Our “No-Cook” series is perfect for summer food preparation, as the stove and oven are not needed. Well, they’re usually not needed. For the main course, we cheated a bit. You’ll have to do some grilling to prepare this dish. But trust us when we say your taste buds will be happy you decided to do a little cooking!

Fire up the grill for this perfect entree. Total time: 35 minutes, serves 4 hungry people.

Steak & Pepper Kabobs – Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 (1/2 pound) rib eye steaks
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper

Steak & Pepper Kabobs – Directions

In a medium bowl, combine oil, garlic, honey, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, salt, and balsamic vinegar and mix well. Cut steaks into 1 and a half inch cubes and add to marinade. Stir well to coat, then cover and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.

When ready to cook, prepare and preheat your grill. Cut peppers into 1 inch strips. Drain beef, reserving marinade. Alternately thread beef cubes and peppers on metal skewers, allowing 4 pieces of beef and 3 pieces of peppers per skewer.

Grill, covered, 4-6 inches from medium coals for 5 minutes. Turn carefully, brush with reserved marinade, cover grill again, and cook for 3-6 minutes until steak reaches desired doneness. Discard any unused marinade.

Watch for the final part of this meal – The Dessert – to go live this weekend!
